1. Am I allowed to buy a casket online?

Yes, the process is simple; you choose your casket, and we will deliver to the funeral home you select. It is illegal for a funeral provider to deny your right to supply your own casket or charge you a fee associated with delivery or handling. You may also have your casket delivered to a residential address or storage facility. 

2. Why would I buy from Regal Caskets instead of a funeral home?

Regal Caskets provides hand-crafted, American made caskets at unbeatable prices. We are a small business that prioritizes customer service and we are available seven days a week. When compared to purchasing through a funeral home, our selections offer a considerable price reduction of up to 85%. Our caskets are carefully designed and we can accommodate special requests.
We support our clients throughout the funeral process by assuring your casket purchase is stress-free and we fulfill your satisfaction.
 
3. Are your products the same quality as what I would buy from a funeral home?
We guarantee that our products are on-par or better than what you will see at a funeral home. You may see strikingly similar caskets and coffins to ours in funeral homes, because many funeral homes purchase our products as well. Respected names such as Batesville Services Inc., and Matthews Casket Company Inc. are comparable to our caskets and coffins.

4. Do funeral homes allow me to supply my own casket?
Under the FTC’s Funeral Rule, the funeral provider may not refuse, or charge a fee, to handle a casket bought elsewhere, and a provider offering cremations must make alternative containers available. A summary of your rights as follows:

• It is legal in all 50 states to buy a casket or coffin for sale online with delivery to a funeral home for use in a funeral service.
• You cannot be charged a "casket handling fee" or other such fees for obtaining your casket outside the funeral home
• A funeral provider may not refuse a casket or coffin you purchased online or unreasonably restrict who receives your delivery or the timing of such.
• Funeral homes can charge one "basic services fee" for required goods or services, but may not require you to purchase anything outside what is required by law.
• You can view and compare prices of goods and services from the funeral home to online options by requesting a "General Price List". 
• Funeral homes cannot misrepresent the funeral/cemetery laws of your state. If you are questioning whether something is required by law, you can ask for a written copy of the law.
• If a funeral provider does participate in unethical business practices, they are subject to disciplinary action by their state licensing board. We think that most funeral providers act in good faith, but if you do witness malpractice, contact us so we can file a claim in your state.
 
5. Can I purchase a casket now and have it delivered months or years later (pre-planning)?
Yes. With the cost of goods ever increasing, you can buy a casket now at the lowest price, remove the burden from yourself and loved ones later, and have it delivered when needed. Simply purchase any product from Regal Caskets and note in the checkout that you are pre-planning. We will provide you a contract so you can redeem your purchase later.
 
6. Do I need to be present at the funeral home to receive a casket?
We recommend that you are, but you do not have to be there. Refusal of a funeral provider to sign an acknowledgement of delivery of a third-party casket is a violation of Section 453.4(b)(1) of the FTC Funeral Rule, and unreasonably burdens a consumer’s right to provide their own casket. If you elect for residential delivery our shipping carrier will call you to schedule an appointment at which you must provide an acceptance signature.
 
7. What size casket do I need?
The interior of our standard size caskets are 24" wide and fit most adults up to 6'10" and 300 pounds. We recommend confirming sizing with your funeral provider who will be happy to help. If you need a larger accommodation, our oversize caskets range from exterior widths of 28" to 44"   Our standard size caskets are 24-inches wide interior, and fit most adults up to 6’10” and 300 pounds. 
 
8. Does the casket I ordered have everything I need in it? Do I need to buy a pillow or throw separately?
Yes. Our caskets come fully assembled and furnished for your loved one. The necessary pillow, adjustable bed, and throw covers are included.
 
9. How much is shipping? 
It is fast and free. If you have a special request such as rush shipping, contact us so we can accommodate. 

10. How do I place my order?
Purchasing a casket from us is identical to any online shopping. Please list your loved one's name, funeral date, and special instructions in the notes field on the cart page. Otherwise, go with the flow and we will have everything we need to fulfill your order.  If we have any questions, we will contact you. As always, you can contact us if you need assistance.

11. What are my payment options? Can I pay with life insurance?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as third party payment processors such as PayPal. You may also finance your purchase with Affirm by clicking "Pay with Affirm" on the payment page.

We do not accept life insurance at this time but have plans to accept it in the future.
 
12. What happens after I place my order?
Once you place your order, you will receive confirmation immediately and we will contact you to verify all details. Once verified, we will ready your order for shipment and send you tracking information once it leaves our facilities. If you are pre-planning, please contact us and we will send you an eContract to finalize your selection. If any details need confirmation, we will call you to discuss. 13. What happens if my order arrives damaged or late?
Your order is both special to you and us, so we try our best to deliver on time and flawless. In the very unlikely case of damage to your order, please refuse delivery and take photos if you can. We will either ship a replacement right away or refund you in full. As many orders are time sensitive, we constantly track our shipments to resolve delays. Should your order be delayed for any reason and does not arrive in time for use, we will accept a return for a full refund.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping costs

Ground shipping to the lower 48 states is included with your order at no extra cost. We will deliver to the location of your choosing such as a funeral home, residence, or storage.

Delivery Timeline

Almost all our caskets ship one business day after an order is received, and our included ground shipping typically delivers within 2-6 business days. If you require more rapid delivery, we can arrange expedited shipping for an additional fee. Contact us to request a delivery date or for other shipping requests. 

Since the carrier sets delivery routes on the day of delivery, we cannot guarantee a time window, but will do our best to accommodate.

Delivery to Funeral Homes 

We readily deliver to funeral homes, and you do not have to be present. It is illegal for funeral homes to force you as they are required to treat your order as one of their own. Any attempt to inconvenience you is solely to discourage you from supplying your own casket. Whether you choose to be present or not we will do our best to notify you of pending delivery.

Shipping Updates

We will notify you when your order is picked up by the carrier and apprise you of any changes in estimated delivery time. You can always contact us for the latest information.

Ground Shipping

Our ground shipping is "less than truckload" (LTL) and travels on large trucks with other freight on carriers such as FedEx. The journey stops along different terminals until the final destination is reached. Once your order is scanned into the carriers system (usually one day after ordering), it is taken to the closest shipping terminal. If you opt for expedited shipping, the path is more direct. Whenever possible the truck that delivers your casket will have a forklift or liftgate.

Expedited Shipping

The expedited method of transport is great if you have a time constraint or would like one driver dedicated to you. Fees for this are variable, but typically run from $250-$500 for short distances. No matter which you pick, know that your order is handled with care and you will be spending significantly less than buying from the funeral home.

Casket Pickup

You can pick up your order yourself at no extra charge. Please have the means to secure the box, which measures 90” x 33” x 30” for a standard size.  

Air Freight

We do not offer air freight service since ground is much more dependable, however if you have a request please reach out.

Returns

Regal Caskets offers a 30 day return policy starting from the date of purchase. Your order is eligible for return or exchange if all items are unused and in the same condition that you received them. If you would like to request a return or exchange past 30 days, we unfortunately cannot assist. 

Exchanges/Returns/Cancellations

Should you exchange, return, or cancel your order for reasons outside damaged on arrival, you will be responsible for paying return shipping costs and a 30% restocking fee. This includes refusal of delivery for reasons other than damaged on arrival.

If you refuse delivery of your order for reasons other than damaged on arrival and the product is returned to us, it will be considered an order cancellation and you will be responsible for return shipping costs as well as the 30% restocking fee. Please do not throw away packaging since it is needed for return shipping!

Return Shipping

To return your product, contact us and we will work with you to coordinate the return shipment. To avoid damage, return orders must be packaged securely in the original packaging. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping as well as the restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

Damages

Orders must be inspected before accepting delivery. Please keep the original packaging which is required for return shipping until you verify that you will be keeping your order.  In the rare case your item is damaged during shipping, please refuse delivery due to damage and contact us immediately. Once the item has been refused, please send photos of the damage to support@regalcaskets.com. We will then issue a full refund or send an immediate replacement. 

Delivery Requests and Changes

Unless otherwise specified by Regal Caskets or agreed upon by Regal Caskets and the customer, caskets ship within 1-2 business days of order and are delivered within 2-7 days. 

Please note that once your order has left our suppliers' facilities, we cannot delay its delivery for any reason. Please notify your funeral home to expect to receive your order.  Should your funeral home push back, please give us a call so we can educate them on the law. Items that cannot be delivered to the address entered at checkout will be considered cancellations, and return shipping and restocking fees will apply. If you notice an issue with the delivery address and would like to redirect or correct it, please contact us at 813-333-2143 or email support@regalcaskets.com and we will be happy to assist.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you along with approval or rejection of your refund. Upon approval, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your method of payment minus a 30% restocking fee.

Custom Orders

If your order is unique, such as built to non-standard specifications, and we deliver your order on time, we typically do not honor refund or exchange. However, if you're unhappy for any reason, please call us. We are here to help and will work to find a solution.
